THE PROCESS:

I meet with my clients and probe for answers to questions, such as:

  • What do you want to accomplish with this piece?
  • How will it fit into your overall marketing plan and style?
  • What is your target audience?
  • What is your budget?
  • How can I make your needs and budget work together?

I will discuss alternate ideas for the project, seek imput for graphics and fonts, and discuss the importance of being USER FRIENDLY.

Creating USER FRIENDLY ads and collateral is extremely important to me. I have seen many marketing pieces that pack a punch graphically, but are confusing and difficult to read. My goal is to pack a punch, but with logic and clarity. Sometimes it's a difficult decision to go for readability over design. But, I firmly believe that good design always has to be easy to read and comprehend. Readers must be able to read the ad and understand the logical progression of elements. Through the use of smart graphics and excellent typography, all the elements of an ad or brochure come together to create a good balance.
